BSSCD Research Award 2023
The British Society of Special Care Dentistry is delighted to offer a research prize to support a project related to special care dentistry. The BSSCD Research Award seeks to support early career researchers in Special Care Dentistry or related disciplines to undertake high-quality research that benefits patients cared for in Special Care Dentistry services.
There will be a maximum of one award within a 12-month period (calendar year) of up to £5000. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application within 3 months of submission. Unsuccessful applicants can resubmit an application but not within 12 months of the original submission. The award is being offered in 2023 but we cannot guarantee a similar award will be available in 2024 or beyond.
An application form and guidance for applicants are available below. This grant cannot be used to support post-graduate qualifications and should be spent directly on research-related activity. Applicants are required to arrange or have established formal academic supervision from a university-associated staff member who can support the project. Members of the BSSCD Executive Committee will assess each application against predetermined criteria. Queries should be addressed to Andrew Geddis-Regan (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
