New member of the Exec Committee

We welcome Heather Pontefract to the BSDH Executive Committee. Heather graduated from Birmingham University in 1992, and has worked in the Armed Forces, and as a Clinical Lecturer and Researcher in Restorative Dentistry both at University of Bristol and at Leeds Dental Institute. In 2009 she moved into SCD where she finally felt that she had found her niche. Heather now works in Bradford as the sole Consultant in SCD, where she provides clinical care for medically compromised patients as part of a team in a multi-chair clinic. Heather also leads on GA and IVS for patients with learning disability, especially when they require complex care pathways. Once a week, she works in a single chair specialty clinic for the learning disability patients, where they can also access podiatry, physiotherapy, phlebotomy, and transitional care.  Heather provides domiciliary visits for our most clinically vulnerable patients and those at end of life.
